Change the handwriting recognition language

This feature is available in the Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean language versions of Microsoft Office. Because handwriting recognition is not installed by default in all of these languages, you may need to install it separately.

Note You may need the Microsoft Office 2003 Multilingual User Interface Pack installed to have support for additional languages.

Show Add a handwriting recognition language

On the Language bar, click Options , and then click Settings.
On the Settings tab, under Installed services, click Add.
In the Input language list, select a language, and then click OK.
The language indicator button is displayed in the Language bar. For example, on the Language bar indicates English.

On the Language bar, click the language indicator button that represents the active language.
For example, on the Language bar indicates English.
On the shortcut menu, click a language.
